As Transportation Manager for the Menlo/DTCI project, GCG Logistics made initial contact with my office during late summer of 2008. I was initially impressed with his professionalism, appropriate zealousness and determination. As a result he was offered time for a face-to-face meeting whenever he was in Chicago area. In late September, 2008, Mr Jubran came to Menlo in Aurora, Illinois and was able to secure an air freight business award based on competitive rates and promise of meeting performance standards. Initial award was for zone 5 shipments exiting New Cumberland and Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.

I have found Mr. Jubran's staff to be experienced, capable of meeting Menlo reporting requirements, and consistently meeting on-time pick-up and on-time delivery expectations. As a result, GCG International has been awarded as primary air provider from 6 additional military bases and has seen its share of business from New Cumberland, Pennsylvania more than double from the initial award.

This letter is a recommendation attesting to the great services we have been receiving from GCG Global Logistics, LLC for the last 9 years and, prior to that, Leila Jubran handled Fuji as our account representative for an additional 7 years.

In the time that I have been associated with Reed, and subsequently GCG Global Logistics Logistics, they have done a wonderful job of getting our freight from point to point b with additional value added services such as great follow up. Especially, thinking out of the box, for putting together special programs that fit our needs as well as our customers’ needs. They think on their feet and rise to the challenge whenever we pose one.

The services they provide presently are:

Domestic Air expedite: Always on time or with legitimate reason for missing an MDD (mandatory delivery date). Their follow up is spectacular with names, reasons, timely POD’s, etc… With the exceptions, I would say they have a 98% on time performance which we do track. This is important to Fuji as we have charge backs from our retail clients if orders deliver late.

Worldwide International Airfreight: We ship primarily to the Far East, Europe and the Middle East and GCG has been proficient in all destinations. Pricing and service are very good. Also, many times there are in country issues such as clearing customs, Duty and Vat that Fuji should not be paying for, even though we ship all prepaid. GCG has resolved these issues by working with our consignees to help smooth the processes, meet the in country demands for documentation and still delivering in a timely manner with constant updates with any issues we need to be aware of.

Off shore Warehousing: Reed has personally gone and chosen warehouses for us around the world when needed and then manages the just in time deliveries to our valued clients, as well as the inventory. She again worked out the Vat issues as we may not have a presence in that country; where it doesn’t cost Fuji any additional funds to be able to service our clients the way they need to be serviced such as the just in time programs.

Post Auditing: This is something we have just turned over to GCG and is in an infancy stage, however, so far so good on finding funds which were over paid. We receive reports on this progress on a monthly basis although; the process takes time to get the monies returned. By these reports we see that they are thorough, and seem to catch things none of our other post auditors have found. They have also made suggestions on what additional documentation to ask for from our brokers in order to conduct an in depth post-audit and truly drill down.

Onsite Coordinators: They have installed a person at our sites for ease of shipments. These coordinators make it so much easier for our staff as they simply hand over the documentation for processing immediately right from our facilities. GCG invested the equipment and people dedicated to handle our shipping needs. If there are any questions, changes, or document issues they are right there to change if for us. They also have Haz-Mat certified personnel with the documentation and packaging knowledge for smooth transport of our chemical shipments.

GCG has never asked why we need something they just give us a proposed solution. Every year, it seems that we give GCG more and more as the trust has built over the years and we have been very happy with the services they supply. Lamb’s staff from what I understand from the various departments within our company is very courteous, knowledgeable, friendly, pro active instead of re-active and very prompt in answering any order inquiries. This is something we treasure in a forwarder/partner.
